ZIO (Zonal Informatics Olympiad) 2016


ZCO (Zonal Computing Olympiad) 2016


The Indian Computing Olympiad is a nationwide competition to identify school students with outstanding skills in algorithms and computer programming


·         The Indian Computing Olympiad is open to all school students up to class 12

·         Knowledge of programming in C or C++ essential


·         Online registration

·         From the site:

·         The registration fee is Rs 250, to be paid online (internet banking, debit card, credit card)

·         Last date of registration: 31 October, 2015

·         Admit cards will be available through the same web page after 1 November, 2015

 Date of Examination

·         Sunday, November 15, 2015

  ZIO-2016 and ZCO-2016

·         will be held in parallel

·         students can write only one of the two exams to qualify for INOI (Indian National Olympiad in Informatics) 2016

·         choice is to be made at the time of ONLINE registration


·         Will be administered as a computerized test

·         Solutions to be worked out using pen and paper and only the final answers to be submitted

·         The question paper with be displayed on the screen and answers to be typed in the computer


·         Is a programming exam

·         The only programming languages permitted in ZCO-2016 are C and C++

·         The local computers will have Dev-Cpp installed for writing code


Knowledge of STL (Standard Template Library) will be an additional advantage
